A PTFA can occasionally come with a stigma attached, that its a stuffy environment of do-gooders. True, we are trying to do good but that's where that particular connection ends. We are looking to put on fun events that parents and children enjoy, whilst raising money to improve the children's education.
A large event will need plenty of planning so we may have a specific meeting for, say, the summer carnival and then a general meeting about smaller events and goals. We meet in the main bar at the Calcot Hotel and its always a friendly discussion about what’s coming up.
We have a list of parents skill sets we can call upon for events. If you want to be involved on the committee then great! If not, please let us know what you are good at and we'll call upon your skills and abilities as and when required. We are always looking for helpers at our events.
